Alcon traveled to the IMG Academy to help evaluate and improve the vision of athletes, according to a press release issued by the company.

Victor Cruz, a football player for the National Football League, also participated in the event.

As detailed in the release, the athletes went through a “vision training camp” to evaluate their eyes in a game setting. This consisted of 13 vision tests that assessed tracking ability, focus agility, response time, eye dominance, visual acuity and eye-hand coordination, according to Alcon.

Following testing, the athletes received education about improving their vision with contact lenses or exercises.

Cruz also went through the evaluations and shared his experiences using contact lenses.

“When I’m on the field I don’t want to think about my eyes; I need my contact lenses to be comfortable and perform at a high level,” Cruz said, according to the release.
