The American Optometric Association and Optometry Cares – the AOA Foundation inducted three optometrists into the 2015 National Optometry Hall of Fame.

Paul C. Ajamian, OD; Kenji Hamada, OD; and Earl L. Smith III, OD, PhD were honored in a ceremony on Thursday at Optometry's Meeting in Seattle.

Ajamian, a pioneer of the concept of comanagement, cofounded the first optometric comanagement and referral center in the country. As detailed in the release, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 2014, which is the AOA's highest honor.
