ATLANTA – Johnson & Johnson Vision Care launched 1-Day Acuvue Define contact lenses here at SECO.

The lenses are designed to enhance the natural color of the eye, a company representative told Primary Care Optometry News, by using a “limbal ring” to make the sclera look whiter and an “iris-inspired” design pattern.

Three available lens types range from subtle to more dramatic: natural sparkle, natural shimmer and natural shine.

Lenses are available to practitioners across the country this week in plano and +1 D to -9 D, in a daily disposable modality.

The lenses use the Acuvue Moist platform, and the pigment is embedded in the lens as opposed to the surface to optimize comfort, the company representative said. – by Nancy Hemphill, ELS, FAAO
