CooperVision appoints Orsborn VP of global professional, clinical affairs

Gary Orsborn, OD, MS, FAAO, FBCLA, has been named vice president of global professional and clinical affairs for CooperVision Inc., according a press release issued by the company.

Orsborn will be responsible for "the continued development and management of the company’s professional and clinical affairs strategy worldwide," the release stated.

“Gary’s expertise is not only a benefit to CooperVision, but he is a tremendous asset to the eye care industry as a whole,” Jerry Warner, senior vice president of global marketing for CooperVision, said in the release. “The combination of his experience, existing relationships and insight enables Gary to help CooperVision identify and meet the needs of eye care practitioners around the world. As a company, we pride ourselves on our ability to be more than a contact lens manufacturer for our customers — we are a trusted partner. Gary is well known and respected for his work within the industry, and I know that he will serve us well in this role.”

Orsborn has been with CooperVision since 2013 and previously served as the senior director of global professional affairs. Before that role, he was employed by Bausch + Lomb for 28 years.
