The Editorial Board of Primary Care Optometry News would like to congratulate PCON editor-in-chief Nancy Hemphill, ELS, for obtaining the respected fellowship status at the most recent American Academy of Optometry meeting held in Denver. The fellowship recognition is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of optometry or vision science.

Nancy oversaw the launch of PCON, in print and online, 20 years ago and has since orchestrated the publication of nearly 250 monthly print editions. She led the expansion to the PCONSuperSite.com in 2002 – the precursor to Healio.com/Optometry, which launched in 2012 – and continues to manage the daily delivery of news reports, meeting coverage and blogs on Healio.com/Optometry.

We are proud of the great positive influence that Nancy has been in the field of optometry over the last 20 years and are delighted to have the opportunity to work with her.

Congratulations, Nancy!
