Attachable spectacle lens layer reduces harmful blue light
Eyenavision Inc. announced the release of its Chemistrie Blue computer lens layer designed for computer, tablet and smart phone users to reduce the transmission of violet-blue light.
The lens layer attaches magnetically to any pair of glasses using the patented Chemistrie magnetic system, according to the press release.
Eyenavision cited a study by the Vision Council, which found that nearly 70% of adults in the U.S. have suffered from digital eye strain.
The lens features a proprietary coating over clear lenses that reduces the transmission of the violet-blue light, which can adversely affect eye health.
The lenses are available in plano to +1.50 D. Each Chemistrie Blue base curve is matched and custom made to fit any frame.
