CoxHealth has chosen Vision Source as its preferred eye care provider, according to a press release from both organizations.

CoxHealth patients will have access to Vision Source clinicians in southwest Missouri, as detailed in the release.

“Vision Source is honored to provide exceptional vision and eye care services for CoxHealth,” Jim Greenwood, Vision Source president and CEO, said in the release. “Working together offers patients innovative, ground-breaking, and efficient technologies in preventive eye care through our collaborative health care solutions and streamlined communications.”

CoxHealth currently serves patients in 25 counties in northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri. They offer both specialty and primary care via five hospitals and more than 80 clinics to more than 900,000 patients, according to information provided in the release.

Kerry Randolph, MD, Cox Regional Services and Cox HealthPlans medical director, said in the release that CoxHealth’s mission is to prevent and minimize the effects of diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.

“This partnership demonstrates our continued commitment to providing the best health care service to our patients,” Randolph said.
