NEW YORK – Transitions Optical introduced an online tool that enables patients to experience vision seen through Transitions lenses, here at Vision Expo East.

Using 360-degree panorama images, the patient can see how the adaptive lenses change and enhance vision in different real-world scenes, according to company representatives.

The demonstration tool also allows users to prioritize benefits of photochromics and receive a suggestion for the best lens for them. Some patients may want to reduce eye strain from indoor light, while others may want the lenses to darken when in the car, according to a company press release.

The company also announced that it will sponsor events with Walt Disney World to educate Disney guests about Transitions lenses with lens trial decals. – by Nancy Hemphill, ELS
