Carl Zeiss Meditec: Revenue decline in first quarter
Carl Zeiss Meditec AG had a cautious start to the new financial year based on unfavorable exchange rates and a slowdown in momentum in microsurgery, said the company in a press release.
At € 212.3 million, revenue was 3.1% lower than in the same quarter of 2013.
Ludwin Monz, PhD, MBA, president and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec, said the company’s goal of increasing revenue to reflect general market growth and increasing EBIT margin to 15% by 2015 remains a priority.
