Eye care organizations jointly support eye health awareness
Several organizations within the eye care industry have joined together to form the World Sight Day Challenge Coalition, according to press release distributed by VSP.
The coalition will endeavor to raise awareness about the importance of eye health and help expand access to eye care through support of Optometry Giving Sight’s annual World Sight Day Challenge fundraising campaign, according to the release.
Members of the coalition include ABB Optical Group, Alcon, AllAboutVision.com, CooperVision, Essilor, Eyefinity, Marchon Eyewear, TLC Laser Eye Centers, Transitions Optical, Vistakon Division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., Vision Source, VSP Optics Group and VSP Vision Care, the release said.
“Each of the organizations involved in this coalition has a long-standing commitment to eye health awareness and access to care,” Rob Lynch, chief executive officer, VSP Global and global development board member for Optometry Giving Sight, said in the release. “Leveraging the strength of each of the coalition partners allows us to broaden our collective reach in support of Optometry Giving Sight and its global efforts to fund sustainable eye care-related projects for those in need around the world.”
