Ophthotech proposes public offering of common stock
Ophthotech Corp. has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock, according to a company press release.
The registration statement, though filed, has not yet become effective, the release said, and the number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not been determined.
The offering will be made only by means of a prospectus, according to the release.
Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering, with Leerink Swann and Stifel acting as co-managers, the release said.
When available, copies of the preliminary prospectus relating to the offering may be obtained from Morgan Stanley & Co., it said.
