Topcon Medical Systems of Oakland, N.J., has formed a new division within the company, Topcon software Solutions, which will focus solely on its software product line, according to a company press release.

The division will be headed up by Robert J. Orsino, vice president of engineering, and will encompass Topcon’s software products including EyeRoute and Synergy, according to the release.

By combining service, support and engineering resources under one division, Topcon will be able to provide more focus on the development and support of its software product line and expedite new installations as well as customers' transitions from EyeRoute to Synergy, the release said.
