These photos of an 11-year-old boy with Marfan syndrome were chosen as the winner of this month’s “Ocular Photography Challenge.” Andrew W. Nahas, OD, of Boscobel, Wis., said the patient’s manifest refraction in the right eye was –10.50 D –0.25 D x 180 with visual acuity of 20/40–2, and in the left eye was –8.50 D –2.00 D x 170, with a visual acuity of 20/25+1. Note the inferior temporal subluxation of the patient’s right lens.
As this month’s winner, Dr. Nahas will receive camouflage binoculars, provided by Kowa.

Contestants are permitted to win once a year. Kowa provides the prizes, including one annual grand prize awarded to the winner chosen from among each round’s winners. Delivery of prizes may take up to 120 days.
