NEW YORK — Solutionreach and Eyefinity have announced a strategic relationship, here at Vision Expo East 2012, that allows users of OfficeMate practice management software to seamlessly integrate a robust offering of patient engagement tools from Solutionreach.

"Together with Eyefinity, we can heighten the level of communication between the practice and patients, leading to greater patient-doctor relationships and growth," Jim Higgins, CEO of Solutionreach, said in a company press release.

Solutionreach helps eye care practices streamline office management, manage online reputations and effectively market through social media. Solutionreach's patient engagement tools include appointment reminders, confirmations, reactivation, referrals, birthday wishes, holiday wishes, surveys, newsletters and customized promotions.

Solutionreach director of marketing Michael Mosley told PRIMARY CARE OPTOMETRY NEWS that the company's newest product is srvoice, an automated phone-messaging system that delivers appointment reminders.

"Some patients aren't as accepting of text or email," Mr. Mosley said. This system is available for those patients who prefer a phone call.

"Some doctors worry it will sound robotic," he said. "Ours is more of a natural sound, like it came from the office."

Mr. Mosley said solutionreach was founded 11 years ago in the area of text messaging, then the company moved onto email.

"We did appointment reminders, then we branched out to recalls and newsletters," he said. "Our online reputation management can help aggregate reviews on Google. We offer a 360-degree suite to maintain engagement with the doctor."
