LAS VEGAS — Carl Zeiss Vision, in association with VSP Vision Care, introduced the i.Scription technology package here at International Vision Expo West.

This new technology consists of the i.Profiler, a new diagnostic instrument that combines corneal topography, autorefraction and aberrometry; i.Scription software, an algorithm that combines the data from the i.Profiler with the doctor's subjective refraction to create an optimized prescription; and Zeiss and VSP Reveal Freeform customized lenses, which combine wavefront optimization with free-form customization.

This technology package is available with special pricing exclusively to VSP's 27,000 private practice providers, a VSP spokesperson told Primary Care Optometry News.
