NEW YORK — Canon USA Inc. displayed and demonstrated its new RK-F2 full auto ref-keratometer here at Vision Expo East 2012.

The device features a compact design, weighing 11 lbs less than its predecessor, and simplifies the standard autorefraction and keratometry measurement procedure to one simple step, according to a company press release. It can automatically align, focus and acquire a reading for one eye and continue to the other eye with one touch of a button.

Also incorporated with the device is a motorized chin rest and a minimum pupil size of 2.0 mm.

The RK-F2 full auto ref-keratometer is expected to be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2012 through authorized Canon dealers, according to the company.
