VIDEO: Anterior segment surgeons can address vitreous opacities with limited vitrectomy
ORLANDO — In this Healio Video Perspective from Telling It Like It Is, I. Paul Singh, MD, discusses how to address clinically significant vitreous opacities as an anterior segment surgeon.
According to Singh, the Vista 1-Step needle-point vitrector (MicroSurgical Technology) allows anterior segment surgeons to perform limited vitrectomy. Singh previewed study results that demonstrated positive safety and efficacy data for the Vista 1-Step in 72 eyes.
“This could be an option for those patients who are suffering,” he said. “If you are an anterior segment surgeon and you have a multifocal or monofocal patient who is not happy, this could be an alternative.”
