VIDEO: Early data on AquaLumen show lower IOP, less medication use
KOLOA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye 2025, I. Paul Singh, MD, discusses the AquaLumen, a subconjunctival bypass technology to lower IOP in patients with glaucoma.
AquaLumen (PLU Ophthalmic) allows ophthalmologists to enter the anterior chamber through the sclera and create a tunnel for improved flow of fluid to the subconjunctival space.
“We’re seeing data so far showing us pressures down to the lower- to middle-teens on 60% to 80% less medications, depending on the patient,” Singh said.
