Healio | OSN is proud to announce new board positions for Nicole R. Fram, MD, Kendall E. Donaldson, MD, MS, and Audrey R. Talley Rostov, MD.
Fram, who previously served as Healio | OSN Cataract Surgery Section Editor, will now serve as Healio | OSN Associate Medical Editor, succeeding Elizabeth Yeu, MD.
“Over the years, OSN has become a trusted trade magazine to gain insight into current and upcoming innovation in ophthalmology,” Fram said. “The ‘disruptive innovation’ session at the meetings emphasizes this point and energizes the ophthalmology community every year. As OSN’s new Associate Medical Editor, I look forward to highlighting how surgeons can implement current cutting-edge technology to provide better evidence-based patient care and what is developing on the horizon.”
Donaldson will take on the role of Healio | OSN Technology Section Editor, in which she will keep ophthalmologists up to date on the latest tools and technologies to ensure the best care for patients.
“We are very fortunate in ophthalmology to be in a field where innovation and technology evolve at a very rapid rate,” Donaldson said. “However, it can be challenging to maintain our awareness and knowledge of all these tools in a timely manner. Providing ophthalmologists with various perspectives on the function and utility of these tools and how they can benefit our patients will be the primary goal of the technology section.”
Lastly, Rostov said she is “honored” to take on the role as Healio | OSN Cataract Surgery Section Editor and to “follow in the footsteps of my esteemed colleagues.”
“I am excited to provide fresh and relevant perspectives in cataract surgery with practical insights and pearls that can be put into practice by our readers,” she said.

First, Nicole R. Fram, MD, will replace Elizabeth Yeu, MD, as an Associate Medical Editor. Liz Yeu was an outstanding contributor to our printed and digital publications as well as our meetings. We thank her for her service and wish her great success as she enters the next chapter of her ophthalmology journey. Nicole is a master anterior segment surgeon and amazing communicator, which will strengthen our educational mission.
Audrey R. Talley Rostov, MD, one of my former fellows and another master surgeon with decades of clinical experience, will replace Nicole as Cataract Surgery Section Editor.
Finally, Kendall E. Donaldson, MD, MS, a full-time academic surgeon, research scientist, industry advisor and educator, will become Technology Section Editor.
