CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from Eyecelerator@AAO, Sujay Jadhav, CEO of Verana Health, discusses two of the company’s new data collection solutions which launched during the AAO meeting.

The first is the Qdata Explorer, which allows ophthalmologists to explore and customize Verana’s existing data sets and share their work with colleagues, according to Jadhav.

The second is the Qdata Retinitis Pigmentosa module, which is designed to spur high-quality research by utilizing clinician notes across EHR databases for RP identification.

“We are not only taking structured data, but unstructured data such as physician notes, curating that, and also leveraging imaging data so that the type of patients that we identify by these particular disease areas are very high quality,” Jadhav said. “That allows you to perform very effective site selection, allows you to conduct very quality research and then understand the outcomes over a period of time.”
