BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, Nishani Amerasinghe, MD, speaks about her early experience with the Alcon Ngenuity 1.5 3D visualization system.

The 1.5 upgrade, which debuted at the meeting, provides an enhanced level of detail. A clear, detailed view of the meshwork and angle makes minimally invasive glaucoma surgery easier, with improved ergonomics for the surgeon, Amerasinghe said.

“I was very honored to be one of the first people in the U.K. to use the Ngenuity 1.5. I am finding the visualization fascinating and incredibly intuitive, especially for my MIGS procedures,” she said.
