BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, Richard Lewis, MD, speaks about femtosecond laser image-guided high-precision trabeculotomy, or FLigHT.

This non-incisional OCT-guided approach to glaucoma surgery from ViaLase addresses the trabecular meshwork and drainage outflow system.

“We are not restricted to the nasal area like in MIGS surgery. We can treat, essentially, 360°,” Lewis said.

In a study of 18 eyes with a follow-up of 3 years, a pressure reduction of almost 40% was achieved, with no safety issues.

FLigHT previously received marketing authorization in Europe.
