VIDEO: Supracor LASIK provides customized vision correction for presbyopia

BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, Robert E. Ang, MD, presents 1-year study results of Supracor LASIK for presbyopia with two ablation profiles.

Depending on the need for a lower or higher near addition, a mild, regular or strong profile can be selected with the presbyopic laser algorithm Supracor (Bausch + Lomb). In the study, Ang compared regular and strong ablation profiles.

“We gave questionnaires to the patients, and we got their feedback. The feedback is similarly good for both the regular and the strong Supracor groups,” he said. “Patients are very satisfied with their overall vision, and less than 1% are using glasses for far or near vision.”
