VIDEO: Ophthalmologists invited to share research at WIO 2025 Summer Symposium

CARLSBAD, Calif. — In this Healio Video Perspective from the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, Jennifer A. Galvin, MD, and Kimberly Winges, MD, encourage all ophthalmologists to submit their research for next year’s meeting.

Galvin and Winges, co-chairs of the meeting’s abstract committee, shared that residents, fellows and medical students are also welcome to present their work.

“We take anybody who wants to submit an abstract,” Winges said. “We have seen an immense growth in the number of submissions and in our presenters. It has been increasing in diversity of geography and population, with a lot of clinical studies as well as basic science.”

Women in Ophthalmology 2025 Summer Symposium will take place from Aug. 7 to 10 in Amelia Island, Florida.
