CARLSBAD, Calif. — In this Healio Video Perspective from the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, Zarmeena Vendal, MD, discusses her experience maintaining a private practice in ophthalmology.

“There is no exact path to that ascension,” Vendal, of Westlake Eye Specialists in Austin, Texas, said. “It’s really up to us as doctors to decide who we are and what our mission is.”
