CARLSBAD, Calif. — In this Healio Video Perspective from the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, Sandy Zhang-Nunes, MD, of Keck Medicine of USC, discusses light laser therapy as a cosmetic therapy and treatment for inflammation.

Zhang-Nunes recommended that ophthalmologists consider light laser therapy to treat patients with ocular rosacea as well as other ocular diseases that cause inflammation and irritation.

“It’s really nice to know about this option to treat people’s blepharitis and irritated eyes, and it really is a great therapy for so many people that I wish everyone had access to, because I’ve seen it change people’s lives,” Nunes said. “I hope that people can offer this technology to their patients and see the great outcomes that I get to see with my patients.”
