CARLSBAD, Calif. — In this Healio Video Perspective from the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, Kelley Sheets of Eyedaptic gives an overview of the Eye6 wearable vision aid for patients with age-related macular degeneration.

The glasses are designed to improve patients’ vision and increase their ability to read, see faces and perform everyday tasks. The device features a virtual assistant called Ivy, which is fluent in 99 languages, according to Sheets.

“What’s really amazing is when we work with patients and show them these glasses, on average they’re picking up around seven lines of vision, which is incredible,” she said.
