VIDEO: Topcon Healthcare launches with focus on AI-driven ‘health care from the eye’

SEATTLE — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ARVO meeting, Ali Tafreshi of Topcon Healthcare overviews the launch of the company and its mission of delivering AI-based “health care from the eye.”
According to Tafreshi, Topcon aims to use robotic diagnostic devices and a digital platform to deliver diagnostics from the eye to improve detection of ocular diseases as well as systemic diseases and neurological diseases.
“If we are able to do this in a 2-minute noninvasive way using the eye, I think this will revolutionize health care because we will be able to find patients or people that should be in the health care system a lot earlier than they are today,” he said.
