In June, retina experts from around the world will convene in Park City, Utah, to discuss ongoing clinical trials, best trial practices and recent data at Clinical Trials at the Summit.
The meeting, which will take place on Saturday, June 8, was designed to accelerate advances in vitreoretinal care, according to the Clinical Trials at the Summit (CTS) website.
“This meeting brings global retinal experts, industry leaders and the investment community together to discuss the latest trial designs and data, evolving regulatory guidance, challenges of bringing new treatment options to market as well as new molecules in the pipeline,” Arshad M. Khanani, MD, MA, FASRS, founder and co-chair of CTS, told Healio. “I am excited to learn about how all of us can work together to bring future treatment options for our patients.”
Khanani will present on the effect of AVD-104 (Aviceda Therapeutics) on visual acuity and geographic atrophy lesions in the SIGLEC trial. At last year’s CTS, Khanani enjoyed discussions about FDA guidance as well as clinical data on emerging treatment options such as gene therapy.
Practicing physicians and trainees who are not on the program are invited to virtually attend CTS at no charge, according to the CTS registration website.
“CTS is a very unique meeting that brings all the development community together, and I am excited to attend the meeting this year,” Khanani said.
