The meeting will take place from May 30 to June 1 in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. More than 35 faculty members will present updates on ocular treatments, procedures and technologies.
“Kiawah Eye, in my opinion, is the best combination of superb education from an outstanding faculty that is easily accessible in one of the best locations in the United States to enjoy the camaraderie of my friends and colleagues,” Eric D. Donnenfeld, MD, program director of Kiawah Eye, told Healio.
Donnenfeld will present on drug delivery for cataract surgery and how ophthalmologists can incorporate drug delivery into their practice to reduce patient burden regarding the use of eye drops. He will also present grand rounds cases, which he considers one of the highlights of Kiawah Eye.
“Kerry Solomon and Dick Mackool always have interesting and important presentations that improve the way I care for patients,” he said.
Donnenfeld told Healio that at last year’s meeting, he enjoyed learning about extended depth of focus monofocal-plus IOLs.
