BOSTON — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ASCRS meeting, Andrew A. Kao, MD, discusses the nonprofit Advanced Center for Eyecare and its partnership with Operation Sight.

He explains how ophthalmologists can make a difference in their local communities by volunteering with Operation Sight.

“It’s very low risk to you and your practice,” he said. “Operation Sight helps find patients, clear them for surgery and match them with a surgeon, and you can use your expertise by doing cataract surgery to help these patients regain their vision, regain functioning and help your local community.”

Ophthalmologists can find more information by visiting the Operation Sight website at https://ascrs.org/foundation/operation-sight.
