BOSTON — In this Healio Video Perspective from Eyecelerator@ASCRS, Pete England, vice president of global marketing at ViaLase, discusses the company’s femtosecond laser platform for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma.

England said it is the first time a femtosecond laser has been used in a glaucoma application.

“This particular technology delivers a noninvasive treatment that we call FLigHT, or femtosecond laser image-guided high-precision trabeculotomy,” he said. “The platform combines the precision of a femtosecond laser with the accuracy of micron-level OCT imaging.”
