FRANKFURT, Germany — In this Healio Video Perspective, Filomena Ribeiro, MD, PhD, ESCRS president, discusses open workshops organized to gather ideas and criteria for new cataract surgery and refractive surgery guidelines.
It is difficult to have a high level of evidence in these areas, she said, so there is a need to provide instruments based on consensus and expert opinion.
“It was very interactive sessions, and I would like to thank everyone for participating in this new model,” Ribeiro said at the ESCRS winter meeting.
