VIDEO: New developments make ReLEx more competitive in refractive surgery
FRANKFURT, Germany — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS winter meeting, Béatrice Cochener-Lamard, MD, PhD, discusses an increasing brighter future for lenticular surgery, now called ReLEx.
“We are moving from SMILE to all the new platforms,” Cochener-Lamard said, “and we would assume that we are becoming quite competitive and entering a new era in refractive surgery, which may be quite competitive to LASIK.”
Further optimization of the technology may allow for hyperopic treatment.
