TAMPA, Fla. — In this Healio Video Perspective from Telling It Like It Is, Kendall E. Donaldson, MD, MS, discusses the benefits of office-based surgery while highlighting some of its obstacles.
“I think that office-based surgery is something that will help us service our patients much easier in the future,” she said. “However, currently we do have some financial restrictions, and we are penalized from both a financial perspective as well as some of the legislative perspectives, which make it quite difficult for a lot of us ... to be able to do bilateral same-day surgery in an in-office suite.”
