WAILEA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye/Retina 2024, John A. Hovanesian, MD, FACS, discusses the benefits of treating corneal ulcers with Fortisite, a combination of tobramycin 1.5% and vancomycin 5%.

According to Hovanesian, Fortisite (ImprimisRx) can be refrigerated, which allows it to be preserved and then administered immediately for patients that need it, eliminating the need to call in an expensive prescription.

“That speed of administering the drop to those corneal ulcer patients who need it makes all the difference,” he said.
