ROME — In this Healio Video Perspective from the FLORetina-ICOOR meeting, Caroline Baumal, MD, presents data from the GALE study on pegcetacoplan for geographic atrophy in macular degeneration.

GALE is an extension study of DERBY and OAKS, evaluating the long-term efficacy and safety of the drug.

In year 3, pegcetacoplan showed further reduction of GA lesion growth, both with monthly and every other month administration, maintaining a good safety profile.

“All of this data continues to support the effect of pegcetacoplan in reducing GA lesion growth with increasing effects over time,” Baumal said.
