VIDEO: Check corneal sensation to find cases of occult herpetic disease
WAILEA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye 2024, John D. Sheppard, MD, MMSc, FACS, discusses herpetic disease and the use of a new noncontact quantitative corneal esthesiometer.
“I encourage you to check corneal sensation objectively prior to cataract surgery, and with a quantitative device, you can do this on a routine basis,” Sheppard said.
