WAILEA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye 2024, Marguerite B. McDonald, MD, discusses the use of amniotic membranes for dry eye and persistent epithelial defects.
“There are several clinical trials proving that even wearing an amniotic membrane for as little as 5 days will give profound improvement in signs and symptoms for many months after,” she said.
