WAILEA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye 2024, Mitchell A. Jackson, MD, shares pearls for IOL calculations in patients with post-refractive complex corneas.

Jackson recommended the Barrett True-K formula or the ASCRS calculator for especially complex corneas. For IOL selection, the IC-8 Apthera IOL (Bausch + Lomb) is a good option for more irregular corneas while the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL, RxSight) offers more customizability, he said.
