NEW YORK — In a presentation at OSN New York, Shalesh Kaushal, MD, PhD, explains why he encourages ophthalmologists to consider using vitrectomy to treat vitreous floaters.

“Vitrectomy, either limited or complete, normalizes contrast sensitivity, improves the well-being of patients, [minimizes] higher-order aberrations ... and there are few short-term and even fewer long-term complications,” Kaushal said.
