SAN FRANCISCO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, Jack Chapman, MD, discusses his experience performing femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery with the Ally adaptive cataract treatment system.

“[The Ally adaptive cataract treatment system] has allowed me to be more efficient, has given me 7 to 8 minutes of more time per case in using it in the operating room and has increased my efficiency, so my conversion rates have increased back up to 80%,” he said.

According to Chapman, Ally utilizes deep learning and artificial intelligence to improve the surgical process.

“It’s much better for the patient, much better for me and much better for my staff, so it gives me great outcomes all the way around,” Chapman said.
