Trends and controversies in ophthalmology are coming to Tampa, Florida, in February at the Telling It Like It Is meeting, held in conjunction with Healio Live.
The meeting, focused on open, direct discussion among ophthalmologists, residents and students, will be held during a streamlined 4-day schedule from Feb. 15 to Feb. 18 at Tampa Marriott Water Street.
Expert speakers will cover topics including wrong intravitreal injections, artificial intelligence for IOL selection, updates on eye health care law, the revenue cycle, managing unhappy patients, and controversies in corneal and refractive cataract surgery. The program will also feature a new technology showdown session and a panel discussion on hot topics in medical and surgical cornea.
CME credits will be available. Those interested in attending the meeting can register online. Registration, which includes access to all sessions, starts at $799 for physicians and $349 for fellows, residents and students. The dress code at the venue is resort casual.
Going to a previous Telling It Like It Is meeting helped cultivate connections and gave insight into important market dynamics, Jackie Martinez, COA, MBA, vice president of global marketing at New World Medical, told Healio.
