VIDEO: Lecture focuses on advancements in macular telangiectasia
In this video, Yasha S. Modi, MD, discusses the Charles L. Schepens, MD, Lecture presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting by Emily Y. Chew, MD, on macular telangiectasia.
“Not only did [Chew] talk a little bit about all of the studies in macular telangiectasia but then also the lead-up to phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials,” Modi, associate professor, department of ophthalmology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, said. “There seems to be, with the ciliary neurotrophic factor implant that is surgically implanted into the eye, some positive data showing a slowing of ellipsoid zone progression in macular telangiectasia.”
