SAN FRANCISCO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, Jeff Todd, JD, president and CEO of Prevent Blindness, discusses the Gr8 Eye Movement, a campaign to bring awareness to diabetes-related eye disease.

Prevent Blindness partnered with Regeneron to launch the movement earlier this year and declared November Diabetes-related Eye Disease Awareness Month. The campaign is part of an ongoing effort to encourage people to check in on their eye health each month.

“Diabetes, as we all know, is among the leading causes of vision loss in this country and it’s something that we’re eager to address and, certainly, we’d love all eye care providers to join us in the effort to continue to educate and inform people with diabetes about the importance of ongoing, regular eye care,” Todd said.
