SAN FRANCISCO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, John D. Sheppard, MD, MMSc, discusses Miebo for the treatment of dry eye disease.
Miebo (perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution, Bausch + Lomb), a semifluorinated alkane molecule, is indicated for patients with dry eye disease who have accompanying meibomian gland disease.
Miebo is “a very simple, elegant, water-free 11 µL microdroplet approach to dry eye disease,” Sheppard said.
