NEW YORK — In this Healio Video Perspective from OSN New York, John P. Berdahl, MD, discusses potential factors for residual astigmatism after cataract surgery.
“When someone has residual astigmatism, about 70% of the time it’s because their lens rotated more than 5°,” he said. “About 70% of the time, it’s because the intended axis wasn’t the ideal axis.”
Berdahl also discusses lens options, epithelial mapping and LASIK enhancements to manage astigmatism.
