NEW YORK — In this Healio Video Perspective from OSN New York, John A. Hovanesian, MD, FACS, explains why he uses Dextenza to treat inflammation in most of his cataract surgery patients.
Dextenza (Ocular Therapeutix) is a preservative-free sustained-release formulation of dexamethasone in the form of an intracanalicular insert, which means no eye drops are required.
“Dextenza is something we have used for some time in my practice with great success. Our patients love not having to take drops, and we love knowing that they’re getting the medicine that they need,” Hovanesian said.
