VIDEO: Worldwide registry study demonstrates high performance of Vivity EDOF lens

VIENNA — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS meeting, Nic Reus, MD, presents the results of a real-world evidence study assessing the outcomes of the Vivity extended depth of focus IOL from Alcon.
This worldwide Vivity registry has so far collected the data of 900 patients in 41 clinics across eight countries, including patients with mild ocular comorbidities such as glaucoma or retinal pathologies.
The results show that this lens can provide good far and intermediate vision, with no side effects and a high degree of spectacle independence.
“This real-world study nicely shows that patients, even patients with mild ocular comorbidities, can have excellent results with this Vivity extended depth of focus lens,” Reus said.
