NEW YORK — In this Healio Video Perspective from OSN New York Retina, Aleksandra Rachitskaya, MD, overviews three studies investigating diabetic macular edema from the DRCR Retina Network.

“The beauty of DRCR Retina Network is that they ask very clinically pertinent questions,” she said.

Protocol V focused on whether it is worth treating patients with good visual acuity, Protocol T investigated three DME treatment agents, and Protocol AC focused on determining the best treatment approach for patients with visual acuity of 20/50 or worse.

“In general, I think that the DRCR Retina Network is just such a tremendous resource for all of us as clinicians because the questions that are being asked is something that is generated from the clinics and allows us to use a strong evidence-based approach as we treat our patients in day-to-day clinical practice,” Rachitskaya said.
